The Roar

In The Roar by Emma Clayton, everyone now lives inside The Wall. This enormous structure encloses the entire Northern hemisphere. The citizens are told that everything outside of The Wall is covered in poisonous yellow dust, which was used to kill everything after the Animal Plague. The Animal Plague attacked animals, causing them to turn vicious and attack humans, killing many. Again, this is what they are told. But Mika just knows that his twin sister Ellie is alive, even though he and his family have been told that she is dead, have been told that for years.
