The Compound
Eli has been living in an underground compound for the past 6 years, and the plan is to live there for nine more. In The Compound by S. A. Bodeen, Eli's father, Rex Yanakakis, built the Compound in case of a nuclear attack. Hypothetically, they would stay in it for fiteen years, at which time it would be safe to go back to the outside world. One night, the attack actually happens, and Eli's whole family flees to the Compound. Only his twin brother Eddy and his grandmother don't make it. Eli grows more and more unhappy, as the food starts to run out and some of it becomes inedible. Worst of all, his twin brother isn't there with him. Eli wants to do something, to take action somehow. What will he do? Read the book to find out!

Divergent
In Divergent by Veronica Roth, the five factions that make up Beatrice Prior's world each seek a different trait, believing that having this trait will eradicate war. Together, these factions form a cohesive whole, a functioning society. When a child turns sixteen, they choose what faction they will be in for the rest of their life. They can stay in their birth faction, the norm, or they can transfer. Beatrice's choice is drawing near, and she's getting worried. How can you make a choice at sixteen that will decide the rest of your life? What will hers be? Read the book to find out! Divergent is the first book in the trilogy. The Hunger Games
Panem, a country that stands in America's ashes. Once upon a time, there were thirteen districts, but long ago the thirteenth one rebelled and got crushed by the Capitol. Now there are twelve. In The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, the Hunger Games are an annual event. Two tributes, a male and a female between the ages of twelve and eighteen, are chosen from each district, totalling twenty four. These twenty four people are placed in an arena, a large area that can have any climate or landscape from a desert to a tundra. The competitors fight to the death, and the last one standing wins. Winning means receiving food and glory for your district, and losing means death. Katniss Everdeen, a sixteen year old girl, lives in District Twelve, the poorest district of all. Her father died years ago in a mine explosion, leaving her to care for and feed her mother and younger sister. The next reaping for the Hunger Games is right around the corner. Will Katniss and her sister Prim escape being chosen? Let the Hunger Games begin! The Hunger Games is the first book in a trilogy. The second is Catching Fire and the third is Mockingjay.

Gone
What would you do if all the humans over the age of fifteen suddenly disappeared, with absolutely no warning and no explanation? This is the question Sam, Astrid, and all the other residents of Perdido Beach are faced with in the novel Gone by Michael Grant. For a little bit, it all simply seems like a practical joke, albeit a very twisted one. Somebody’s sick sense of humor. Soon, though, it’s clear that this is the real thing, that all the adults are really… gone. Want to know what happens next? Read the book! Gone is the first of a six book series. In order, the books are: Gone, Hunger, Lies, Plague, Fear, Light
Between the Lines
Between the Lines is a book written by Jodi Picoult and her daughter, Samantha van Leer. In it, Delilah, a social outcast at her school, absolutely loves books. One day at the school library, she finds a fairy tale titled Between the Lines stuffed into the shelves. She checks it out, and falls in love with the book… and possibly one of the characters, too. She relates to Oliver very well, and admires his intelligence and cleverness. With the help of Prince Oliver, she discovers that sometimes, happily ever after… isn’t. Will Delilah and Oliver ever get their happily ever after? Read the book to find out! Find out more at Jodi Picoult’s website, jodipicoult.com
Maze Runner
Maze Runner is by James Dashner, taking place in a post-apocalyptic world. Thomas
wakes up in a strange elevator, remembering nothing but his own name. He
emerges into a world of about 60 teen boys who have learned to survive
in a completely enclosed environment, subsisting on their own
agriculture and supplies. A new boy arrives every 30 days. The original
group has been in "The Glade" for two years, trying to find a way to
escape through the Maze that surrounds their living space. They have
begun to give up hope. Then a comatose girl arrives with a strange note,
and their world begins to change... What will happen? Read to find out
more about this amazing book! If you would like more of this amazing book, read The Scorch Trials, the second book in this series, and Death Cure, the third book. If you want, there is also a prequel to the series called the Kill Order.
The Roar
In The Roar by Emma Clayton, everyone now lives inside The Wall. This enormous structure encloses the entire Northern hemisphere. The citizens are told that everything outside of The Wall is covered in poisonous yellow dust, which was used to kill everything after the Animal Plague. The Animal Plague attacked animals, causing them to turn vicious and attack humans, killing many. Again, this is what they are told. But Mika just knows that his twin sister Ellie is alive, even though he and his family have been told that she is dead, have been told that for years. Knowing this is false makes him question everything else around him. What is true and what is false? Read the book to find out! The Roar is the first book out of two. The second one is called The Whisper.

is a book by author Marie Lu, a story based on a world after the United
States have long collapsed. In this new country, The Republic, two
